Compare nonprofits to other sectors
Select this option to see how the nonprofit data variable you selected in Step One compares to for-profits and/or government in the same field(s), geographic region(s), and year(s).
TIP: If you wish to display these data in a chart, please limit your selection of multiple data points in Steps Three, Four, and Five to one multi-selection, and two single selections (e.g., 5 counties, one field of activity/industry, one year). If you make multiple selections in more than one of the following steps, your visualization choice in Step Six will be limited to a table.
Show the nonprofit share of employment, establishments, or annual wages.
Select this option to see what share of employment, establishments, or annual wages nonprofit account for, rather than the absolute numbers.
TIP: This option is not available if you selected the average weekly wage data variable in Step One.
Show nonprofit data in the context of the state, county, or MSA in which they operate
Select this option to generate a table showing the nonprofit variable you selected in Step One next to population and/or income data in the same geographic region(s) and year(s).
TIP: These data can only be displayed in table format.
This option is not available if you have chosen establishments in Step 1. When choosing one of the following options, you will be limited to a single geographic area in Step 3, a single year in Step 4, and “All fields” in Step 5.
This option is not available for average weekly wage.
