Nonprofit Economic Data Bulletin #29 | Lester M. Salamon, Stephanie Lessans Geller, S. Wojciech Sokolowski.
This report focuses on six major topics: 1. the enormous scale of Florida’s nonprofit sector—the numbers of organizations and their expenditures, assets, and numbers of workers; 2. the distribution of this nonprofit economic scale by field, region, and size of organization; 3. the sources of nonprofit revenue, and the relative position of its charitable support; 4. the dynamics of recent nonprofit growth; 5. the resulting changes in the “market position” of nonprofit providers; and 6. the relative wage levels of nonprofit and for-profit employers.
