This paper highlights the fundamental relevance of the global civil society sector and volunteers to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and begins the process of articulating a framework of actions that will be needed to allow NPIs to play their part in making it possible to make real progress toward achieving the 2015 SDGs.
