Nonprofit Economic Data Bulletin #36 | Lester M. Salamon, Stephanie Lessans Geller, S. Wojciech Sokolowski.
This report presents the latest information on the size, composition, distribution, and growth of paid employment in the nonprofit sector in Michigan as of the second quarter of 2009. Also provides the first comprehensive analysis of changes in Michigan’s nonprofit employment not only over the past decade but also between 2007 and 2009—the period during which the state experienced increased economic stress as result of the severe national recession.
