Description

Identifies the kinds of contributions to the eradication of poverty for which nonprofits are especially suited, the advantages they bring to these roles, the challenges they face, and the changes that are needed to allow them to make the contributions of which they are capable. The statement was developed by participants in the 13th annual conference of the Johns Hopkins International Fellows in Philanthropy program held in Santiago, Chile in July 2001.
